White House says he has a “proven track record.”
President Joe Biden has nominated Steve Dettelbach to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. He has already received a number of endorsements from top law enforcement officials and federal prosecutors.
The White House said the president made the decision to nominate Mr. Dettelbach because he is a “highly respected former U.S. attorney and career prosecutor who spent over two decades as a prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice.” A White House official described him as a “highly qualified candidate” and a “highly experienced former U.S. attorney and career prosecutor” with a “proven track record.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For members of the Senate as they consider and vote on the ATF nominee.
- For wisdom for the president and his advisors as nominations are made and presented to the Senate.
